This lovingly made drive circuit pays tribute to Aaron Graves, dearly departed friend and musician of Caroline Guitar Co. and Columbia, South Carolina at large. A smaller, simpler footprint with plenty of useful tones under the hood for melding with every and any amp and guitar combo, the Aaron Graves Overdrive is something longtime and newcomer fans alike are sure to embrace with open arms.

The Aaron Graves Overdrive throws it over to many fan-favorite Caroline Guitar Company tones of Caroline generations past. Covering some basic grounds for Caroline fans as, foundationally, the preamp of the Parabola and Météore, this warm, lush preamp base slips smoothly into any rig to establish itself as a reliable overdrive/preamp effect. From there, the Aaron Graves pushes ahead with some more Caroline history under the hood.

Caroline's "Mode B" comp-cut circuit – originally from their Haymaker and Icarus V1 models – makes another appearance with the Aaron Graves for a power amp clipping-style breakup. This circuit now features a second gain stage for greater balance and control alongside a bass voicing switch for those with a pension for swapping pickups. A portion of all sales of the Aaron Graves Overdrive will go to Fork & Spoon Records, Graves's own organization, helping new South Carolina artists achieve more in their music.

Thé shelves are good quality and easy to hang. Thé instructions do leave a bit to be desired as they misidentify which anchor to use for dry wall. I followed instructions for the first shelf and it was not very stable. I switched to the other anchors and it was great. All hardware in included. These require minimum size holes in your wall, but it is a floating shelf so be prepared to patch when you take them down.  It’s a set of 4 so a good value!

Good looking shelves and easy install - skip the included drywall anchors

I installed these shelves in a bedroom to get things off my dresser and some decor. Once mounted they look really nice. The black finish looks clean and modern and they blend in well with the room. Installation was pretty straightforward. The metal bracket mounts to the wall first and then the shelf slides over the bracket. As long as you take your time lining things up it’s a simple project. One thing I strongly recommend is not using the white plastic self-drilling drywall anchors that come with the kit. I’ve used that style before on other projects and they tend to strip out easily and leave larger holes in drywall. I used better anchors instead and the shelves mounted much more securely. The rest of the hardware worked fine and once installed the shelves feel solid and hold items well. Pros - Clean modern look - Easy installation - Feels solid once mounted - Good size for books or decor Cons - The small level included isn’t very accurate — use your own level - One of the metal brackets was slightly bent out of the box but straightened out easily Helpful tip: Use your own level and better drywall anchors if you have them. It makes installation easier and the shelves will mount much more securely. Final thoughts: For the price these are nice looking floating shelves that install easily and work well for light storage and decor.
